FORCEJAM

Tactical Multitool for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

FORCEJAM is a compact, modular device designed to detect, jam FPV drones, and enable secure encrypted communication on the battlefield. Our mission is to empower frontline soldiers with affordable and reliable electronic warfare tools to save lives and improve coordination.

The project focuses on accessibility and modularity, allowing continuous updates and improvements to meet evolving threats and tactical needs. FORCEJAM is not just a jammer—it is a comprehensive protective and communication platform tailored for real combat conditions.

About FORCEJAM

In modern warfare, drone surveillance and attacks present a serious threat to ground forces. FPV drones, often used for reconnaissance or targeted strikes, can undermine troop safety and mission success.

FORCEJAM was developed to counter this threat by actively monitoring key radio frequencies (433MHz, 868MHz, and 2.4GHz) commonly used by FPV drones. Upon detecting suspicious signals, the device alerts soldiers in real-time, allowing them to take appropriate defensive actions.

Beyond detection, FORCEJAM can disrupt hostile drone operation by jamming signals on selected frequencies using powerful RF modules with optional amplifiers for extended range. This gives frontline units an active defense tool against unmanned aerial threats.

Communication is equally vital. The device enables encrypted radio messaging using AES-256, ensuring that frontline fighters can securely coordinate without reliance on cellular or internet networks vulnerable to interception or outages.

This open-source, modular project is committed to empowering defenders with state-of-the-art tools that are cost-effective and adaptable to the rapidly evolving battlefield landscape.

Features

Hardware Specifications

The device is powered by the ESP32 microcontroller, a balance of performance and low power consumption suitable for portable field devices. This chip handles signal processing, user interface management, and encryption tasks efficiently.

Communication hardware includes three nRF24L01+ PA/LNA modules and two CC1101 transceivers, which cover the primary frequencies of interest (433MHz, 868MHz, and 2.4GHz). This setup enables simultaneous monitoring and jamming capabilities.

A 4-inch color touchscreen display allows easy interaction even in outdoor environments, with high visibility and responsive controls.

FORCEJAM is powered by a rechargeable Li-Po battery providing several hours of continuous operation. The design supports attaching external signal amplifiers to boost jamming power and range when required.

Robust enclosure and modular design make the device suitable for rugged battlefield conditions, ensuring durability and ease of maintenance or upgrade.
